In the summer of 2027, the Catholic Church will gather young people from all over the world for International World Youth Day, a global event where youth come together from all parts of the world for prayer, faith, community, and a powerful encounter with Christ—this time in Seoul, South Korea.
Some of you may remember that young people from our parish attended the last World Youth Day in Lisbon, Portugal, as well as the Jubilee of Youth in Rome. These were truly life-changing experiences for them.
While 2027 may seem far away, the journey begins now. We are inviting anyone who is interested to join us for an information session next Sunday, February 15th, at 5:30 PM.
At this session, we’ll explain what World Youth Day is, who it’s for, how we can begin preparing, and what the travel options and packages may look like.
For teens who are currently under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must attend the info session with you, as participants must be 18 years or older by July 2027 in order to attend World Youth Day.
If you’re curious, discerning, or simply want to learn more, we’d love to see you there.
