On October 23rd we launched our Faith First journey for the children of our parish with an invitation to our Open Church. The event took place between 9:00a.m and 3:00p.m. This event allowed the children and their families to visit our parish and meet our parish leaders, catechists, and youth leaders. We were blessed to receive 270 people of which 120 were the children of faith first. The families and children participated in various activities throughout the church which permitted them to get to know our church. There was time for prayer and reflection for each family. Each child left with a small gift consisting of a rosary, a religious arts and craft, juice and snack. Above all they left with a smile and a sense of welcome back. This was made possible by the work of our 25 volunteers who did a great job while maintaining all protocols. All agreed that seeing the joy and enthusiasm in the eyes of our families and children to be back at church was worth the effort.
