Get to know mary better by reflecting on her story in the bible.

Step 1. Look up the Scripture passages in your Bible.

Step 2. Write down what each tells us about Mary when Jesus was young.

Step 3. Use a separate sheet of paper to write a story titled “Mary, the New Mother.” Let the Scripture passages guide the development of your story. Use your imagination to fill in details.

Here are some ideas for brainstorming:

What do you think Mary felt?

What caused her to feel that way?

What did her surroundings look like? Some travel was involved. Think about the countryside, the road itself, the scenery, other people on the road, and so on.
